The executive or medium sized car manufactured by German automotive giant, Bayerische Motoren Werke, is popularly known as BMW 5 series. This series was first made available to the public in the year, 1972. The series has now produced their sixth generation at the time of writing this article.

The 520 d and the 530d diesel models churn out power of 30 kW @ 4000 rpm and 173 kW @ 4000 rpm respectively.

In addition to the driver, passenger and side airbags, this sedan comes with better head airbag system, which is there to protect the front as well as the rear seat passengers, should the need arise. The normal run-flat tires can be driven for up to 250km, even after being punctured, which practically makes it illogical to carry a spare tire.



With so many features and technology wrapped in one car, the price tag of $50,000 to $60,000 (depending on the model) makes BMW 5 series look like a steal.
